1.  Abstract

< 1. Give an overview of the problem to be solved and a brief background.
2. Describe the objective of your proposed work and list down what steps you will take to achieve those objectives.
3. Write in brief the expected academic/industrial benefits that your system will provide     
       (Significance of your work) >

2.  Background and Justification

< Give a detailed background in reference to the problem under study. Explain what has already been done in this area and how you would like to enhance/continue the work (give justification) >

3.  Project Methodology

< In this section explain in detail the methodology/action plan/steps that you will adopt to achieve your objectives (i.e., How you will accomplish your objectives?) >

4.  Project Scope

< Define boundaries of the proposed system by identifying the functionality that the system will provide and that which it will not provide >

5.  High level Project Plan

< This section should contain a high level project plan with important milestones and their submission dates. It should contain:
1.      High level activities for the proposed system
2.      Time allocated to each activity
3.      Resources that will be assigned to complete each activity
       (Project plan should be developed in MS project) >

6.  References

1.      The section should contain references of books, journals, magazines and websites consulted for the proposed work.
2.      You may provide the names of the people and their contact information that you have 
      consulted >
NOTE:

1.      The proposal should not be more than 3-5 pages in length.
2.      The proposal should be prepared jointly by all the project stakeholders including the project manager, team lead and the group members. However, it is the responsibility of the project manager to develop the high level project plan.

3.      The proposal should be duly signed by the project manager before being submitted to the project office.
